For maybe two years, while I thought about printing t-shirts I've wondered where to get them in Canada. Keeping in mind this 'eco friendly' movement (sure I get annoyed about it, the cost, the terminology, but at the same time I can't ignore it either) I think I've finally found a supplier who has Canadian made products (let me tell you that is hard to find) who also offers products in Bamboo. Time to order some t-shirts and get doodling! I usually sit and surf in the mornings, over coffee, and every now and then browse for wholesale t-shirts. And while you can find lots of wholesalers, it isn't always easy to find manufacturers. It's not unlike the Sterling silver wire I buy. There is a manufacturer in Canada called 'Imperial Smelting'. Now if you just search for 'sterling wire' you'll get stores that buy from them, to sell to you. But if you can buy from THEM, that's where the savings are. Of course, many manufacturers have very high minimum purchase amounts, or the good discounts are based on large orders, either way, you can't always capitalize on finding them. I'm hoping this t-shirt company will be my solution for t-shirts.

Handmade Accessories for Women
These things about me influence the way I create:
I have no formal training in any of the mediums I explore.
I hate to shop, that's why I create.
I am impatient.
I prefer the easy way.
I want to do everything well from the first moment I try, and get angry when I can't.
I believe I can do everything.
I want to be the best at what I do.
I love asymetry in everything but houses.
I love making something and having someone see it and say 'how did you think of that!?'
Creating Accessories for Women...by hand:
Much of my work is done by hand, or is handmade, yet I hear lots of discussions about the definition of 'hand made'. In my work it means buying as little finished components for a piece as absolutely possible. For example, my sea glass wire jewelry...I buy wire, I don't buy components, I don't buy charms, or loops or rings, or clasps. I buy wire then I bend, twist, hammer, tumble, hammer again, cut...until I get the jewelry components I want. The one component I do buy is a bit of bulk chain, for my lower priced pendants.
For my bags I create the bag as well as the design. The bags are sewn by me. I do not buy bags and then paint them.
